Union Productions (UP) is Florida State University's (FSU) student-run programming board! It is one of the most respected programs in the nation, hosting concerts, comedians, special events, and more on campus in Tallahassee. Over fifty students oversee every aspect of the organization: from planning and producing events and marketing and promotions, to sound production and hospitality. This means that everything that goes into making Union Productions’ events fantastic—from booking performers, to setting up dressing rooms, to coordinating audio-visual requests, to advertising lineups—is all orchestrated by a dedicated group of FSU undergraduates.
Event Policies
Event policies will vary by location, but general policies for all performances include:
- FREE FSU student admission with a valid FSUID.
- All major credit cards are accepted for the general public.
- No outside food/drink.
- No smoking, vaping or tobacco products. FSU is a tobacco free campus.
- No professional cameras.

- No crowdsurfing and/or stage diving.
We value the experiences of our patrons and attendees at all of our events. Any inappropriate behavior that does not adhere to FSU community standards and infringes on the positive experiences of others will not be tolerated and you may be asked to leave.
The FSU Student Conduct and Community Standards code outlines the university's community standards.
UP Mission
UP provides captivating, entertaining, and enriching entertainment for FSU. To foster student leadership and professional development, we empower students to cultivate their own events, ranging from concerts, comedy shows and lectures to special events, all of which are student-run from inception to completion.
History of the Program

In the mid-1960s, the first student-run programming board at FSU was created: the Union Program Council (UPC). Around 1970, the board changed its name to the Leisure Programs Office (LPO), and in 1979, it became the Union Program Office (UPO). Finally, in 1983, the organization adopted the name Student Campus Entertainment (SCE), which it retained until 2005. Over the years, the organization was responsible for planning Homecoming, the film series (formerly held in Moore Auditorium), major concerts at The Moon and the Civic Center, operating the Club Downunder venue, late-night programming initiatives, and a variety of special events.

As the organization evolved and new campus facilities were developed, some responsibilities shifted. For example, the Student Life Center began programming the film series in its state-of-the-art theater in 2000; the Club Downunder became its own entity to plan on-campus concerts in 2001; and Homecoming became its own organization in 1999. In fall 2005, the Club Downunder programming board and SCE were reunited to form Union Productions—a single programming board responsible for special events and concerts presented by the FSU Student Union.
